For over 10 years, we’ve been helping Canadian Armed Forces members at branches across the country certify their skills through the Recognition of Acquired Competencies (RAC) process. Whether you’ve worked, volunteered or trained in Quebec, elsewhere in Canada or abroad, your experience can be converted into a recognized college diploma.
On October 30, 2024, Cégep Marie-Victorin proudly signed the Guiding Principles of the Canadian Military, Veterans and Families Connected Campus Consortium (CMVF3C) as a post-secondary educational institution member.

Solidify your qualifications while serving to take advantage of opportunities for promotion within the Armed Forces or to make your move to the civilian workforce easier.
Quickly transform your military experience into recognized qualifications to fast-track your path to a civilian job, bypassing the need for extensive training.
For veterans, the RAC process provides official recognition of acquired skills, which will increase your self-confidence when looking for a civilian job and provide a well-deserved sense of personal satisfaction.
Our team is there for you to support you through the process to ensure your skills are evaluated in a fair and respectful manner.
A dedicated team is available to answer your needs and questions throughout the process. We will make sure you have all the necessary information and proper conditions so your skills and experience are evaluated in a respectful manner.
Our team member Manon at the RAC Office is your first point of contact.
She’ll be there to welcome you and discuss the different programs available to you. She will then direct you to the person in charge of your chosen program. Manon herself handles the AEC programs in Spécialisation en bureautique, Bureautique – Agent d’administration, Office Administration and the DEC program in Bureautique – Coordination du travail de bureau.
Starting out as a language teacher, Manon became a RAC content specialist before working as an academic advisor and finally the RAC Office’s pedagogical advisor. Throughout her career, Manon has travelled extensively, pursuing her love of language and culture, and has been involved with various military-related organizations. She participates in fairs and conferences and gives presentations to promote the RAC and Cégep Marie-Victorin nationally through her involvement in the Canadian Military, Veteran and Family Connected Campus Consortium (CMVF3C).

The RAC process is an excellent way of easing into civilian life.
The RAC process is an excellent way of easing into civilian life.
I really appreciated how professional and efficient people were. Everything fell into place quickly and easily. During my RAC process, my discussions with the specialists were very enriching. They had tons of experience in my field, which gave me another perspective on the civilian world and its practices. I now have tools which I can even use in my military career. The RAC process is an excellent way of easing into civilian life; it officially recognizes the skills you’ve acquired and gives you a diploma that future employers value. I came out of it with a great deal of personal pride and a better way of working. It was a springboard that propelled me to go further and pursue university studies in administration.
