ACS – Communication in Administration
In partnership with the Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services, Cegep Marie-Victorin is providing a credited training program developed specifically for Inuit workers. This training is created for the administrative staff of Nunavik Health Centres and community organizations that fall under the Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services. The objective is to develop communication and technical skills that are required in the workplace.
- To analyze work functions in administration
- To make use of common operating systems and software applications for administrative purposes
- To communicate and interact in a management context using a client-based approach
- To communicate in English in a business context
- To manage a project
For this credited program, experienced trainers of Cegep Marie-Victorin supervise the students individually.
For administrative or community workers who want to improve:
- Work organization

- Business writing in English
Professional Integration Training offered
The objective of this training is to develop communication skills and competencies in administration.
The Professional Integration Training is provided in English; it starts in September and continues through April, with each group session lasting for three days. The duration of the P.I. Training depends on the pace of each participant. Every session includes group activities and individual work. Topics covered during the first year include communication skills, teamwork, basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), project management, business writing in English and work organization.
Collective and individual work will be kept throughout the training and will be used for accreditation and certification purposes. Participants will fill-out a training log at the end of every session to keep track of every achievement.
